Training
We train our young horses here on the farm.  They are started in the barn and when ready they are graduated to the trails.  We  have acess to several miles of trails winding thru the woods across creeks and down a country road.  The horses are exposed to most common trail experiences.  They see traffic, dogs, deer, and turkey, and learn to cross water, climb and descend steep banks, and maneuver thru trail obstacles.  We ride them in groups and alone.
Lone Willow Stables is a family owned and operated breeding, boarding, and training facility located in south central Kentucky.  Our breeding operation consists of 25 broodmares and four wonderful stallions.  Our broodmares were chosen for their gentle natures and natural smooth gaits while our stallions compliment them with gentle natures of their own, size, gait, and color.  Our foals are born with good temperments and will either rack or walk from birth.  They are handled regularly and broke to lead, load, stand tied, pick up their feet, and clip at three to four months old.

Boarding
We offer boarding at our barn on a daily or monthly basis.  Boarded horses are kept in a 10x12 stall and may be turned out in a small turnout lot occasionally if the owner prefers.  Stalls are picked daily and stripped on a weekly basis.  Boarding fees are $8/ day or $200 per month.  Board price includes fresh hay and feed morning and evening.
